Gallery Drive Privacy Policy

Developer: Miblio · Last updated: 2 November 2026 · Terms of Use

Gallery Drive is a photo and video gallery for Android that can upload the files you choose to your own Google Drive. This policy explains what the app accesses and what happens to it.

Summary

Photos, videos, audio and documents

The app reads media on your device (with your permission) to show it in the gallery. Documents are only accessed when you pick them with Android's system file picker. This content stays on your device unless you choose to upload it.

Google Drive

When you sign in with Google, the app asks for one Google Drive permission:

Uploads are sent directly from your device to Google's Drive API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access tokens are managed by Google Play services on your device and are never sent to us. Gallery Drive's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps an upload queue, upload history and your settings (such as auto-backup and reminders) in local storage on your phone. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Free up space and deleting files

To suggest files you may want to remove (duplicates, similar or blurry photos, screenshots, large videos), the app analyses small thumbnails on your phone. This analysis happens only on the device and nothing is sent anywhere. Files are only moved to the phone's Trash when you ask for it; if you grant Android's "Media management" permission the app can do this without a separate confirmation each time. Files in Google Drive can be managed or deleted at any time in Google Drive.

Ads (free version)

The free version uses Google AdMob to show a full-screen ad after some backups finish, and an optional ad you can choose to watch to unlock one clean-up. AdMob, a Google service, may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location based on IP address, app interactions and diagnostic data to show and measure ads, and may use cookies. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first through Google's consent message. How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads. Ads never receive your photos, videos, files or Google Drive data.

Purchases (Gallery Drive Pro)

Gallery Drive Pro is a yearly subscription sold through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your card, UPI or bank details. The app only asks Google Play whether your Pro subscription is active. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Revoking access

You can remove Gallery Drive's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and revoke media permissions in Android Settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
